Our Story
Shawn Durrant founded AccuRite Excavation in 1995 with a single excavator and a commitment to doing the job right. What started as a small residential operation in Ogden has grown into one of Northern Utah's most trusted excavation contractors.
Over 31 years later, AccuRite has completed thousands of projects across Weber, Davis, and Morgan counties. We've dug basements in Ogden neighborhoods, built retaining walls along the Wasatch bench, installed septic systems in Morgan Valley, and completed military construction at Hill Air Force Base and Camp Williams.
We've earned the trust of federal agencies, municipal governments, and commercial general contractors — but we still treat every residential homeowner with the same professionalism and attention to detail that built our reputation.
Meet Shawn Durrant
Shawn has been in the excavation industry for over 30 years. He personally oversees every project, from the initial site visit through final grading. His hands-on approach means clients work directly with the owner — not a sales rep or project manager.
Born and raised in Northern Utah, Shawn knows the local soil conditions, terrain challenges, and municipal requirements across every city we serve. That local expertise is why contractors, homeowners, and government agencies keep calling AccuRite back.
